Imagination Theater: Core Ensemble Member/Facilitator 2017/2018

Manton Avenue Project: Dramaturg/Performer 2015/2016
  • Collaborated with young playwrights (3rd-8th grade) in one of Providence, RI's lowest-income neighborhoods to develop original plays performed and directed by professional theater artists

  • Strengthened kids' literacy skills through storytelling and creative expression

  • Performed in several original plays by young playwrights, empowering them to see themselves as peers and collaborators with the adult performers

  • Served as a mentor and cheerleader for young artists with stories to tell!

West Broadway Middle School: 7th and 8th Grade ELA/ESL 2015/2016
  • Taught two sections of double-period 8th grade ELA/ESL (core English and intervention) to new arrivals from Guatemala, DR, Puerto Rico, Nigeria, and other countries

  • Taught one section of 7th grade ELA to native English speakers at West Broadway Middle School, emphasizing performance and theater studies as a path to building literacy

  • Achieved highest rating for first-year teachers (Highly Effective) in all areas of principal evaluation

  • Guided ESL students through creating bilingual puppet plays, performed for first and fifth graders in the community

  • Built strong relationships with families to create a support system for students with a variety of social/emotional needs

Princeton Summer Theater: Teaching Artist 2013
  • Taught weekly theater workshops in playwriting, puppetry, mask, and more

  • Directed play for young audiences, How Thumbelina Found Her Wings, and facilitated audience engagement and outreach to children in the community
